In recent versions of Android (v14 and up), all apps must explicitly ask the user for permission to send them push notifications. The Hayylo apps uses push notifications to keep users informed about important information such as schedule updates and community updates. As such, any Android app user with version 14 of Android or above will see a screen describing this this request for permission and and then a popup asking for them to allow this feature. This screen and permission request will only occur the first time the app is run.
